In-House Development
In-House Development of Technologies and Products
KOREFIB® develops composite reinforcement based on real problems from construction sites. It is not about copying catalog solutions, but about finding shapes, surfaces, dimensions and production processes that make sense in real use in concrete.
Development starts with a problem on site, not in a catalog
Every new product has to solve a specific practical problem — lower weight, easier installation, corrosion resistance, better handling, a more suitable shape, or a more efficient way of delivering the material to site.
We don't just wait for ready-made solutions
Composite reinforcement has a wide range of uses, but not every product is suitable for every application. That is why we work with our own product lines and with adjustments to geometry, surface, dimensions and delivery format.
The goal of development is not to have as many items in the catalog as possible. The goal is to create a product that can be reasonably manufactured, transported well, installed easily and used correctly in a specific concrete layer or structure.
What we address in development
Product geometry
We address diameter, spacing, shape, roll windings and product build-up so that they make sense in real installation and handling on site.
Surface and bond
We adjust the surface of the reinforcement according to how it is meant to work with the concrete and what function it has in the layer.
Production technology
We fine-tune the manufacturing process so that a stable product can be produced repeatedly, not just one successful sample.
Development based on real applications
A mesh for a screed has different requirements than reinforcement for a floor, than a product for a damp environment, than a material where the main advantage is low weight or electrical non-conductivity.
That is why, during development, we monitor not only strength but also handling, storability, the option of roll delivery, behavior during installation, adaptation to details and practical usability on site.
From idea to product
- We start with a specific problem or requirement from practice.
- We design the shape, dimension, surface or format of the product.
- We verify whether the product is technologically manufacturable and repeatable.
- We assess handling, storage, transport and installation.
- We adjust the product based on the results and prepare it for regular use.
A prototype is not enough
Making one functional sample is only the beginning. A real product must be repeatable, stable, usable in production and clear to the customer and the contractor.
During development we also address seemingly practical details: how the product is packaged, how it unrolls from a roll, how it holds its shape, how it is cut, how it is joined and how it is handled on site.
The result of development
The result is not just a new product in the range. The result is a solution with a clear purpose, practical use and technical logic — from production through transport to placement in concrete.
